ADMISSIONS

We are now accepting applications for the 2024-25 school year for grades K-12. If you are interested in enrolling your child, get started with our online application.

Once your application is submitted, you can schedule an admissions interview with our admin team online or by contacting the school. The purpose of the interview is to determine if your child is a good fit for our school and to answer any questions you may have. Following the interview, you will be notified within two business days of our enrollment decision.

Prospective Parents & Students

We are a private Christian school ministry of Calvary Chapel Desert Light.
Parents should have a clear understanding of the biblical philosophy and purpose of DLCA. This includes a willingness to have their child exposed to teaching which is in accordance with the school’s Statement of Faith.

Tuition & Eligibility Requirements

Tuition

Kindergarten: $4,000 per year

Grades 1-8: $6,500 per year

High School: $7,000 per year

Tuition may be paid annually, quarterly (according to the academic calendar) or in ten monthly installments.

We strongly encourage every family to utilize the Universal ESA Voucher from the AZ Dept. of Education which can cover the full cost of tuition. New ESA applicants may defer payment until invoices are paid by the AZ Dept. of Education.

Eligibility

In order to apply for Kindergarten in the 2024-25 school year, a child must reach the age of five by September 1, 2024.

Transfer students are required to provide transcripts and standardized testing results from their previous school.

ESA Program

The Empowerment Scholarship Account
program provides public funding from the State of Arizona that can be used for a wide variety of educational expenses, including private school tuition.

Parents are responsible for completing an ESA application online. You will receive quarterly invoices for tuition from DLCA which must then be submitted through ClassWallet, the ESA program's financial management platform. Our school will then be paid directly from the State after the submission is approved.

If you are planning to use ESA funding for tuition, the ESA application must be completed as part of the enrollment process. Students will not be able to attend school until an ESA application has been completed or tuition payment has been received.

Non-Discrimination Policy

Desert Light Christian Academy admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
